Frequently Asked Questions

What if I want a specific bidet not listed on your site?

You can request any bidet available to the public. If you have a specific model in mind, email us and we’ll set it up for you.

Who collects and pays the sales tax?

We collect sales tax on the installation fee. For the bidet itself, we pass through the exact tax charged by the reseller from whom we purchase it, since we purchase the product on your behalf.

Are there any health or safety considerations?

Bidets are generally safe and hygienic, but you should make sure a bidet is right for you. If you have any health conditions or sensitivities, consult your doctor. We make no representations about the suitability of bidets for your specific needs. Also, ensure your water line is clean; if you’re concerned, consider installing a water filter.

Can I have a warm water bidet without electricity?

There are bidets out there that will allow you to connect a hot water line directly to your bidet, however we do not offer installation of these in most cases. Instead, we strongly recommend going with an electrical option. Here's why:

  • Electric hot-water bidets operate by warming cold water and provide a more consistent experience (as well as many other electricity powered features like deodorizers, heated seats, and air dryers).
  • Hot water lines are not standard in most New York City apartments. As such, accessing a hot water line requires diverting hot water from underneath a sink or other plumbing behind walls or under floors, which usually involves permanent alterations.
  • Non-electric hot water bidets can pose safety risks, such as burns or infections. This is because they rely on analog processes to mix hot and cold water, and otherwise hot water lines tend to carry more heavy metals.
  • They don't work as well as electrically powered hot-water bidets, as hot water isn't always available immediately, so there's often a "cold start" 😯
